The Practice Room
July 31, 2014 @ 9:30 am - August 21, 2014 @ 5:00 am

An informal and collaborative environment to test drive facilitating ideas.
A simultaneous creation of experiential learning and the expansion of our inquiry toolkits.
..
“The best facilitator is one who does their own Work”
~Byron Katie
(AND, there’s nothing like practicing with others!)
..
A safe and nurturing space, where everyone has come together to try out things they’ve heard and gain new ideas from those brought to the class.
Feedback, is in the form of round-table discussions and is not directed toward the facilitator. The emphasis is not on ‘how am I as a facilitator’ but rather ‘how might this work in a facilitation’.
I envisage lots of “ooh I like that” moments, laughter (as things we try fall over) authentic support through showing up as diverse clients and lots of note taking (because there’s so many new approaches discovered)
An integral part of this class is looking at mind’s story about what it means to be ‘the facilitator’. What beliefs do I have running that makes facilitating ‘work’ rather than ‘The Work’.
Four Thursdays 31st July – 21st August, 2014
